Hmm.

Naturally something like this would be awesome... but something about this is loosing my appeal...
Those preset drums... >.<
This needs alot more EQ'ing, and that lead has a bit too much detune.
However, I like the concept, overall as a tune this is awesome, but as a song... I can't say yes.

Midnight11 responds:

Thanks for your input. I appreciate it. I will make sure to fix this when I make new songs!

Great. Now listen to my song Turbulance...

Jammin

Jammin' sounds like quest 64.
But the pan stuff with that pluck is bother the living fuck out of me and makes my right ear bleed frogs! :[

Smidly responds:

O'rly? Maybe Ill remove that then.

Games

The guy below me means Jet Set Radio Future the game.
But this also sounds like the game Phantom Crash.

Omfg JSRF was such a good fuckin game.

Hmm

This is a bit too slow to be a dance song. Sounds like Spacejazz. Nice use of the FL voice synth! (I've tried doing that but it's a pain in the ass)
Should have put this under Jazz or something.
I like the lead, It makes me want to throw up (In a good way, because of it's motion)
I'm reminded of the sea when listening.
Nice Drums, sound good.
A little more mastering though :]

Hex72 responds:

Thank you. :)
I don't like the genre selection for newgrounds, that's my only gripe. It was either Dance or Drum and Bass, I went for the former because of how it's particularly electronic.

Robo-Lead

I'm really likin the robo-lead. Sounds like 3Xosc to me. I don't have much to say in this. I am a singer, if you want me to sing. I'll do it, I sing lazely for my song (explaining why the singing sucks) I'm not vocal director, but a singer.
AIM me about the singing bro, I'll do it if you want.

Karco responds:

It was 3xOsc, I was going for something simple but catchy. ;D

And we already chatted about this on AIM, so I'll skip that part. :D Thanks for the review.

Master this.

You really do need to get a hang of master.
That means getting rid of the crackle that I hear in my speakers.
It sounds great as a song.
But if it was EQed better, it would be perfect, take it a bit down on that high mid.
A little bit of bass goes up, low mid, goes down some.
I won't get very specific, because you might over shoot.
But use Parametric EQ.
The bass that kicks in around 2:10 I really don't like, because it's drowning out the sound of alot of the song.
Basses can be real sound hoggers when not mastered right.
The melody and tune are amazing.
You are a great composer, if you do better on your mastering, you will become even better.
Nice use of strings.
I'm hearing another drown out around 4:50, fix that too.
Parametric EQ2 is a really good EQing tool, it provides you with a great spectrum to show you where you need to fix your sounds.
Anyways, this song would be 80% Golden if mastered right.

Originality does not come in a package brother. It comes from the mind, which means you should brush up on your synth skills. Avoid presets, and get a new pack of drums.
Sytrus is very extensive, yet very confusing, take a look at some presets, and mess around with their fetures to get a hang of sytrus.

Nice man!

Good information!

I'll make sure the next song I put out has minimal to no presets.

I just never seem to want to make the time to mess around with it.

I do it every now and then but I get frustrated with the results, so I just hope back on presets.

I guess now I'll see how long my patience can hold out.

Thanks for the review man!

Cool!

Wow. Just my first though was the male voice reminds me of Günter.
I do like the old school Eurodance sound. But after a while the distortion on the lead gets to ya.
YOU may not notice it, but using the same scratches over and over is not attractive, it would be awesome if the scratches varied.
The delay on the voices is great.
I am reminded of Cascada from the Female voice.
This could use alot of EQing though, particularly on the Treble and high-mid.
Other than that, it's pretty solid. Nice.

Woah dude

I hear a good new approach on your music.
This SOO reminds me of BassHunter, he's a badass.

But still, you're doing good, I'm not saying your ripping him off, it's definatly unique, but SHIT it reminds me of him so much.

You have good composition, this is definitely worth clubbing to..

Nice Job

I am guessing this is one of your top songs, due to the fact that you have put it as your website.
This song is very nice. You're snare sample was well used, and the clusterfuck
that happened right before the some happened made it feel good.

I could imagine tying a camera to a mouse, putting him in a 5 year maze, and he solves it, then you play the maze in 1st person at 100X speed.
Only one thing, at the end, where the hell's the cheese?
The ending made me feel empty, I have no suggestions on what to add to make it feel better, but SOMETHING must be done.

The piano was great, and your FREEZE sample is well conducted.
The tune was a well one to pick. You're use of instruments is unique, yet morose.

I believe that the lead is KINDOF too soft. And it leads to your ears not being pleased enough.

Right after "Are you ready" That lead should have been hardened up, and reeverb taken out.

Other than the negitave connotations made on this fine piece of work, it's very good.

5/5 8/10

I'm a music hobbyist, or is it professional? Who knows?
