I'll be writing this review as I hear your song.
00:00, great so far, very much promise.
The powerful synth I feel drowned out the bass drum, which I have a personally feeling about. I would sidechain that saw pad to the bass drum dude. and equalize it very carefully.
Follow that there is an acid synth with a trancy downtempo kinda rythm.
Some hits, and what's this! A crushed bass... I like (:

Slow hits... What is this leading up to?... WHAT
That's the end?

I feel this song would fit better in the ambient category myself. What did you use to make this? I didn't put the dubstep lable on it, but as a song I must say it was well composed. You chose a good set of synths man and the potential was there for a crazy drop but then it ended. I liked it though man so I'ma give you a 4... but vote you a 5 because it's pretty decent and I don't feel it deserves the rating it has now.

I use garage band :V thx for the review! :D

FA#G C#ABBAGE good rif frnd

Ahh, my friend have you ever cliff jumped before? I haven't, but by the title accredited to this lovely piece I must say it sounds rather blissful. (:

ChadWiggy responds:

Yes, i have cliff jumped before. This song reminded me of it. Glad you enjoyed it. Check me out on soundcloud if you want to hear more. The link is in the song bio.

I appreciate collaberative efforts very much, though I believe this one deserve a lot more TLC than it was given. Particularly mastering and cuts, the snare snaps out a bit to much for the choice of sound in my opinion. The instruments are pretty well chosen, however on the "drop" at 1:05, it sounds very chaotic, a problem that could be solved by maybe taking a few of the piano notes out that clash with the chord, also limiting as well as compression is your friend... also I don't hear a bass drum at all, so much that I'm not sure if you intended for the bass drum to be missing?

On to the composition, it was fairly well. Good slides as well as transitions.

3/5 Guys, I'm sure it was a good learning experience for both of you (:

LachlanInc responds:

Thanks for commenting, bruh!

Hmm, this loop could use some work. That's all I have to say; I mean the loop isn't even seamless to the beat, better luck next song buddy (:

Spurta responds:

I know, and that's why the title is literally "fl shit"
Thanks for the feedback regardless.

Sounds like you're having fun with that there FL
Sounds also like you have a lot to learn as well

Composition, Mastering, Genre framing, picking the optimal sounds, wiring... they all come naturally with a LOT of practice.
To be good at FL one has to suffer for it, shoot me a message if you have any questions about FL or need some pointers (:

I did enjoy this song, it brings me back to when I was younger making songs like these... sooooo 5/5 and 5+ rate (:

xturox responds:

Just like said thank you and some day i will get it or not but I'll keep on practicing making weird music...

Very nice work with the vocals, please though bare with me, as a vocal major I feel like your vocal pronunciation and breath could use a bit of tweaking. You are a great singer, and you have the potential to be a STAR!
This is a catchy little song and I like the quirkyness of it, reminds me of a certain style that I can't really put my finger on, otherwise all out enjoyable listen.
Party on man!

wywfalcon responds:

Thanks so much for your comment! I am trying to ship out a new song from scratch every week, but they will vary quite a bit in style. When I have an album in a about 2 more months. I want to see what people like best and which direction to go. I will work on the singing and hopefully my cough will go away next week. Stay tuned!

<3!!

EruptionMusic responds:

:D !!

Me likey @_@ plain and simple.
I can't really give any critique, but it sure does sound good on the treble.

Jiggermoo responds:

Aww, don't worry, critique all you want. I won't get better if I don't get some criticism.

Yes, this was defo easy to make. Only hard part was aligning my spliced samples with the Dada Life track.

What a NICE usage of dirty bass! This is definitely some ELECTRO ass music you got going on, but the sound is a tad bit unfulfilled. The bass-drum you used is a bit to tight and punchy for my tastes. I do see what you were aiming for, and it was a pretty decent attempt. Some mastering, compression, and EQ, and an extension to the length, would give this song more potential than it already has. Good job on the sound however :]

Happy raving my friend :]

LowAim responds:

Thanks man! Mixing and what not really isn't my thing I'm afraid, but I'm gonna keep working on it!

I'm a music hobbyist, or is it professional? Who knows?
